DRY DRYER DRYEST

Its hard to remain optimistic in the garden when everything is starting to look so tired through lack of rain.

Add to this the damage of two rogue frosts - one in late November and one in early December- unheard of !

The Persimmon was seared badly, with the loss of its Spring lustre, but the fruits are hanging in there.

                     As for the dahlias-

they are burnt to a crisp!

And the dam is one quarter full or three quarters empty.

The late afternoon sunlight however, turns a parched land into gold.
