Spring has sprung

One day till the official opening of Spring and the garden is already full of blooms.

The King Alfred daffies have the most exquisite scent and the Chinese honeysuckle and white daphne fill the air with perfume.

A favourite early spring bloom is the anemone - magic pinks and blues light up the lush greens of new growth in the garden.  All it takes is to remember to pop those tiny bulbs in the ground in Autumn.

Now, after lashings of rain over winter, the garden looks soggy but refreshed.

And the river is full to nearly overflowing.

This augers well for a fabulous Spring Gardens of Glenlyon on 15th and 16th October.
